Virus is necessary. Automatically change!

I suggest NOD32. Other good virus scanner, but NOD32 is the fastest. Other virus slows down the PC (much).

The problem is ... Often, there are new viruses that are not yet proven. So ... To be sure: after the download: wait at least a week and then analyze before opening the file! After a week there is little chance of finding virus not yet upgraded to a week old virus. It is a technique little known, but it works like a charm.
Of course, you need to enable the automatic updates, virus scanner! And of course, the same virus scanner must be frequently renewed. But above all, must you pay for another year. If you have forgotten to pay, then disable virus itself or it will not download the latest antivirus database (most recent database virus scanners are useless).

Or you can use Ubuntu .. No viruses! Now you can download a file with a Windows virus, but it does not hurt any team in Ubuntu. It will sit in a file on the computer useless. Almost all viruses can do things on Windows. Windows has a virtual monopoly on the support of the virus.

If you're not a player: There is little reason to stay with Windows.

Do you have Norton or McAfee? Done automatically or notify you when the load is low. If you do, then you should have scheduled scans of viruses is, as I put on every Friday at 8 clock, will also scan for the random. I hope this is helpful
